MACKAY MARINA COMMERCIAL PRECINCT
A key objective to the development was the creation of a vibrant mixed-use community. A critical element to this has been to provide good public access.

Port Binnli owns the rights to Shute Harbour Ferry Terminal, a destination which, in Australia , is second only to Sydney’s Circular Quay.
Shute Harbour is the preferred step-off to explore the tropical Whitsunday Islands and the Great Barrier Reef , Australia ’s most outstanding areas of natural beauty. Port Binnli will be redeveloping the Shute Harbour ferry terminal to equal the Whitsundays’ world-class reputation as a tourist destination. The Shute Harbour Ferry Terminal precinct adjoins Snows Beach and Park. Part of the project will be to enhance the local land and ensure all development is within strict environmental guidelines.
Our main aims at Shute Harbour are:
- 1 - To develop and promote the Shire as an attractive tourist destination for both domestic and international visitors
- 2 - To enhance the opportunities for the creation of tourist attractions and related commercial ventures
- 3 - To create a range of public facilities, services and programs for the whole community.
